Stein to inform him that_I_had_rocoivna a tynna nnto frnn Charlos Hnad InnE) infnrming me that Ralph Wanted to know if a conclusion had been reached on the need for full-text document search & retrieval systems 3 and whether the DOE approach was acceptable. I told Ralph that I had discussed the (G
subject with Bill Olnstead and that our mutual opinions were that no conlusion was made during the meeting that full-text was required but that on line access to documents and full-text capability could be called for to' support a 3 year licensing. The DOE approach was not considered acceptable because it was more in line with a 5-6 year licensing process. Ralph, however, informed me that he was going to send a Telecopy version of the meeting summary he had prepared and did.
(also attached). He has added two sentences to the summary prepared by Charlie Head and myself (also attached with corrections by W. Olmstead).
