NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON. D. C. 20555 pY

's, MAY 15 5 Ms. Nina Bell, Assistant Director Nuclear Information and Resource Service 1346 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 4th Floor IN RESPONSE REFER Washington, DC 20036 TO F01A-85-324

Dear Ms. Bell:

This is in response to your letter dated April 29, 1985, in which you re-quested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), lists of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Attorneys and officials of the. Agency.

The document listed on the enclosed appendix is being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) in folder F01A-85-324. The staff infomed us that they do not have adhesive-backed mailing labels for attorneys.

l We have also been informed by the staff that they do have adhesive-backed mailing labels for Branch Chiefs and above. The cost for this list is $5.00.

If you want this list, telephone Connie Pappas of my staff, on 492-8992 by May 31, 1985.

For your information, because of the existing heavy burden of handling the NRC's official mail, it is the practice of the NRC to limit the use of its internal mail system to official business. As a result, solicitations re-ceived by the NRC Mail Roon may be marked " Refused by Addressee," and returned to the sender. This action is in accordance with Chapter I, Parts 153 and 159, of the U.S. Postal Service's Domestic Mail Manual. As you may be aware, Section 153.4, as interpreted by the General Counsel's Office of the U.S.

Postal Service, provides that mail sent to officials or employees of Federal agencies is the property of the agency and is not the personal mail of the individuals to whom the letters are addressed.
