PTam, hRR Enclosed for the infonnation of the Subcostittee on Energy and Power is a revised regulatory guide which is being issued in Division 1,
" Power Reactors."
Regulatory Guide 1.29, Revision 3 " Seismic Design Classification," describes a method acceptable to the NRC staff for identifying and classifying those features of light-water-cooled nuclear power plants that should be designed to withstand the effects of the Safe Shutdown Earthquake and resin func-tional. This guide was revised as the result of public comments and additional staff review.
Also enclosed is a Federal Register notice we plan to issue on this atter within the next few days.
