Enclosed is an application (XSNM3813), dated April 28, 2020, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, from the U.S. Department of Energy/New Brunswick Laboratory Program Office. The application requests the export of highly-enriched uranium in the form of metal pieces to Belgium to be used in certified reference materials for nuclear safeguards measurements at the European Commission Joint Research Centre.
Assurances from EURATOM that the material will be subject to all the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation are required. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
