Title:
Public Meeting to Discuss the NRCs Retrospective Review of Administrative Requirements Meeting Identifier: 20200210 Date: March 24, 2020 Location: Webinar Category: Category 3 Purpose of the Meeting: To discuss the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) request for public input on outdated or duplicative administrative requirements that could potentially be modified or eliminated, as described in Federal Register notice 85 FR 6103.
General Details: The meeting was attended by 15 NRC staff and 8 members of the public via Skype and teleconference.
Summary of Presentation: The NRC staff discussed the retrospective review of administrative requirements initiative, including background, evaluation process, evaluation criteria, public comment period instructions, and next steps.
Summary of Public Feedback: Participants, which included representatives from the Nuclear Energy Institute, Exelon Nuclear, and S&P Global Platts, asked clarifying questions on the materials presented.
Action Items/Next Steps:
The NRC staff will review and evaluate input received from the public to inform the development of its recommendation to the Commission on outdated or duplicative administrative requirements that could be potentially modified or eliminated.
