As' discussed with Mr. Tom Westerman of NRC Region IV staff, this letter is being submitted to revise the completion 6 ate for a commitment made in Voluntary Report 50-368/90-V01-00 (2CAN049013). , 1 4
;This voluntary report concerned the inadvertent starting of an Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) while attempting to " air roll" the engine during maintenance with its DC control power deenergized. ,
. Corrective-actions for this event included revising the ANO-2 EDG operating procedure'to preclude future similar occurrences. This revision was

expected to be completed by August 1, 1990. However, this completion date- A could not be met due to the complexity of the revision, which also contains changes which resulted.from alarm circuit delay time evaluations, diesel room exhaust fan testing, undervoltage relay testing, and Inservice Test
. Program changes. Therefore, its expected completion date has been extended to~ August 31, 1990.
There are. no safety concerns created by the delay in implementation' of. this procedure revision since the additional corrective actions discussed in the , s
. voluntary report have been completed, and should prevent the occurrence of .'
