SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT Docket No. 71-9321 Model No. 3-60B Package Certificate of Compliance No. 9321 Revision No. 3

SUMMARY

By application dated January 30, 2020, EnergySolutions LLC (the applicant) requested renewal of Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 9321 for the Model No. 3-60B package. The applicant also notified the NRC that the EnergySolutions Columbia, SC, office was closed and that all correspondence for EnergySolutions 10 CFR Part 71 CoCs for its Model Nos 8-120B, 10-160B, 3-60B and MIDUS packages should be mailed to their new address. The applicant did not request any changes to the package design or its authorized contents. The certificate has been renewed for a five-year term.

EVALUATION The staff reviewed the documents referenced in the certificate and determined that the documentation was available and complete.

CONDITIONS Item No. 3.a of the certificate has been modified to reflect the new address of the applicant.

Condition No. 12 has been modified to allow the use of Revision No. 2 of the certificate for approximately one year.

Condition No. 13, previously numbered 12, has been updated to reflect the new expiration date of September 30, 2025.

The references section of the certificate was revised to include the January 30, 2020, certificate renewal request.

CONCLUSION The certificate has been renewed for a five-year term, which expires on October 31, 2025.

Based on the statements contained in the application, and the conditions listed above, the staff concludes that the changes indicated do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.

Issued with Certificate of Compliance No. 9321, Revision No. 3.
