NRC FORM 464 Part I U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION NRC RESPONSE NUMBER (04-2018)

RESPONSE TO FREEDOM OF 1 2019-000035 11 I INFORMATION ACT (FOIA) REQUEST RE~~;sE D INTERIM . I./ I FINAL PART I.D -- COMMENTS Responsive records from the NRC's Office of Nuclear Material Safety .and Safeguards (NMSS) are enclosed.

Per NMSS, NRC did not, and does not currently have, a Memorandum of Understanding between NRC and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, the American Board of Radiology for Therapeutic Radiology, or the American Board of Radiology for Diagnostic Radiology. Responsive records covers only two boards because the American Board of Radiology submitted information for its sub specialties therapeutic radiology and diagnostic radiology in the same correspondence.

These two boards submitted information in the 2001 to 2002 timeframe requesting recognition of their boards as meeting the new requirement for recognition of the Boards by NRC.

Comments on some of the pages refer to documents in NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), available at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. Questions on searching ADAMS should be directed to the NRC's Public Document Room (https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/pdr.html) staff at 301-415-4737 or at pdr.resource@nrc.gov.
