Subject:

Opportunity to review and comment on an NRC information collection "Request for Information Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(f) Regarding Recommendations 2.1, 2.3, and 9.3 of the Near-Term Task Force Review of Insights from the Fukushima Dai-ichi Event" Attachments: 2018-26746.pdf

Dear Mr. Erickson:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission recently published a Federal Register Notice announcing our intent to submit information collection requests to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for "Request for Information Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(f) Regarding Recommendations 2.1, 2.3, and 9.3 of the Near-Term Task Force Review of Insights from the Fukushima Dai-ichi Event." A supporting statement describing the requested information and burden estimates are available at http://regulations.gov by searching docket NRC-2018-0138.

As a potential respondent to this information collection, we are interested in your feedback. Specifically, we are seeking input on the following questions by February 11, 2019:

1. Is the proposed collection of information necessary for the NRC to properly perform its functions?

Does the information have practical utility?

2. Is the burden estimate accurate?
3. Is there a way to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected?
4. How can the burden of the information collection be minimized, including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology?

Comments can be submitted by going to http://www.regulations.gov and searching for Docket No.

NRC-2018-0138. Please note that comments will be made available for public inspection. Because your comments will not be edited to remove any identifying or contact information, the NRC cautions you against including any information in your submission that you do not want to be publicly disclosed.
