TERMINATION OF THE REVIEW OF THE REVISION REQUEST TO QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM APPROVAL FOR RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL PACKAGES NO. 0703, REVISION 10
Dear Mr. Fulford:
On September 1, 2016, Nordion (Canada), Inc. (Nordion), requested approval of a revision to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved Part 71 Quality Assurance Program (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No.
ML16259A401). This application was supplemented on January 9, 2017 (ML17030A338). The purpose of the revision request was to modify your approval from a user-only to full-scope program in anticipation of a transportation packaging design submittal to the NRC for approval.
By E-mail dated April 6, 2018 (ML18099A143), you requested to withdraw your September 1, 2016 submittal, as supplemented, due to the decision not to seek NRC approval of a transportation packaging design at this time. The NRC acknowledges Nordions request to withdraw its submittal and has terminated its review. No further NRC work will be performed related to this licensing action request. This does not preclude or limit your resubmittal of this application.
