SUMMARY

OF APRIL 26, 2018, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL REPORT, AUDIT OF NRCS OVERSIGHT FOR ISSUING CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE FOR RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL PACKAGES On April 26, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public meeting to discuss the Office of Inspector General (OIG) report, Audit of NRCs Oversight for Issuing Certificates of Compliance for Radioactive Material Packages (OIG-17-A-21), dated August 16, 2017. The purpose of the public meeting was to discuss recommendations from the OIG recommendations with stakeholders and to seek comments from stakeholders. There were 39 known participants at the meeting, including representatives from industry and the Nuclear Energy Institute. Enclosed is a summary of the meeting that includes an outline of the general discussion and comments received from participants at the meeting.
