Dear Mr. Nelson:

We are pleased to accept your invitation to speak at the Emergency Preparedness andCommunication Forum on June 21-22, 2004 in Cleveland, Ohio.I plan to represent the Emergency Preparedness Project Office (EPPO) within the Office ofNuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR). I plan to provide an "NRC Update" and lead the "NRC Lessons Learned Panel" both on Monday, June 21, 2004; and provide the "Emergency Response to Terrorist Events" on Tuesday, June 22, 2004. Joining me on the "NRC Lessons Learned Panel" will be a representative from each of our four regions: Richard Conte (Region I), Michael Ernstes (Region II), Kenneth Riemer (Region III) and Ryan Lantz (Region IV).In addition, Ms. Susan Frant will be representing the Division of Incident Response Operations(DIRO) within the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response (NSIR). Her presentation, "Enhancing Communications During Exercises and Events," is scheduled for Tuesday, June 22, 2004.
