Dear Mr. Kearney:
Thank you for your letter of December 8,2011 (ML113420338) in response to our November 8, 2011,letter (ML113120409) which cited PPL for being in violation of 10 CFR 55.25,"lncapacitation Because of Disability or lllness," for failing to notify the NRC of a known permanent change in medical status of a licensed operator, and of 10 CFR 55.3, "License Requirements," for failing to ensure that an individual license holder, in the capacity of a reactor operator, met the medical prerequisites prior to performing licensed operator duties. We will review the implementation of your corrective actions during a future inspection to determine whether full compliance has been achieved and will be maintained.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspections in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRC's document system (ADAMS).
