Review and prepare the agency's formal response to the recommendations on the OIG Final Audit Report. The lead office/region should coordinate with supporting offices/regions, including the Office of General Counsel, to receive the appropriate concurrence on the formal response memorandum for DEDR's signature.
Agency's responses should include a verbatim statement of the recommendation followed by the decision for each recommendation indicating agreement or disagreement with the recommended action. For agreement, provide corrective actions (taken or planned) and actual or target dates for completion with the office/region point of contact. For disagreement, provide the reasons for disagreement and any alternative proposals for corrective action, completion date(s), and the office/region point of contact.
The agency's response letter should be profiled publicly available in ADAMS unless it contains sensitive and/or classified information. See OEDO Procedure-0270, Appendix D, for examples of the agency's response letter.
