Dear Mr. Gatlin:
By letter dated July 16, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML 13204A021), you applied for an amendment to the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit 1, Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-12. The proposed change would have modified the facility Radiation Emergency Plan pertaining to activation time; relocation of the Technical Support Center (TSC); realignment of Emergency Response Organization positions, titles and responsibilities; transfer of notification responsibilities; relocation of engineering support personnel to the TSC; and editorial enhancements.
Subsequently, by letter dated August 21, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML 13235A313), you withdrew the amendment request. The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as withdrawn.
Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
This completes the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff's review of the July, 16, 2013, submittal under TAC No. MF2493.
