Dear Mr. Singer:

This refers to the meeting conducted at your staff's request at the Region II Office in Atlanta,Georgia, on July 25, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. The meeting's purpose was to discuss plantperformance and planned initiatives at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Units 2 and 3. Enclosed is a list of attendees. The presentation material used for the discussion is available from the NRC's document system (ADAMS) as accession number M L062570002. The meeting included the following topics: Performance Indicators, Plant Performance, Unit 3Cycle 12 Outage Performance, Unit 2 Cycle 14 Outage Plans, Performance Improvements and Three Unit Readiness. The meeting was informative and beneficial in providing an understanding of your current performance, proposed performance improvements and actions to prevent negative impacts on Units 2 and 3 during the Unit 1 restart effort. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will beavailable electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
