attachment2.pdf attachment1.docx Tom\Mike, In response to two Whitepapers that NRC staff received on December 2nd, 2015 entitled "Qualitative Assessment for Crediting Mitigating Strategies Equipment in Risk-Informed Decision Making" and "Streamlined Approach for Crediting FLEX in Risk-Informed Decision Making," sixteen different NRC organizations in NRR, RES, NRO, and regions provided approximately 140 comments.

These comments consisted of specific comments that can be dispositioned in the Whitepapers as well as opinions on how the NRC should proceed to credit FLEX\MS in RIDM.

Attachment 1 provides 11 comments that NEI can address by modifying the whitepapers.

Attachment2 provides large number of other comments that we received from various NRC staff members. They range from specific comments to individual staff opinions.

After consulting with NRC's internal RISC members, we decided to share those with you as well. These comments provides additional context that may be helpful to your task group members when they prepare for the workshop that we plan to hold discuss comments. As discussed during our telephone call, we believe that the most efficient way to address these comments will be to hold a workshop. Please call me or Alex Schwab to discuss scheduling that workshop.
