k To prevent occurrer.ce of similar problems, an investigation into how the design and installation errors may have occurred is ong91ng. Additionally, the Security Task Force which previously performed indepth revieus of the Volf Creek Security Plan has been re-eat sblished. (See Licensee Event Report 85-016-00). Thie effort is reviewing elements of plant design and j
layout not formally related to security or classified as " Safeguards", but which are important to or could af fect plant security. This includes the civil aspects of piping systems, electrical raceways and structures, etc.,
which penetrate the Protected dras barrier. Also being considered is l
whether certain details described in some civil drawings should be considered " Safeguards" information due to their potential isportance to plant security.
There have been no previous occurrences of loss of physical security ef f ectiveness due to design or installation errors.
At the time of this event, the plant was in Mode 1, Power Operation, at 100 percent Reactor power. This event had no (ffect on the continued safe operation of the plant.
