Enclosed are forty (40) copies of a proposed amendment to license DPR-77 to change the technical specifications of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant unit 1 to provide for operation of the Interim Distributed Ignition System (IDIS) as required by item 2.C(22)D(1) of the license. Justification for interim operation of the IDIS was provided in our submittals dated December 1, 11, and 17, 1980.
In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 170.22, we have detcrmined the proposed amendment to be exempt from fees. This classification is based en ti.? fact that this amendment is required by the license as part of j
the initial )peration of the unit.
