l Ladies and Gentlemen:

1 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54 (p) and 10 CFR 50.4, Georgia Power Company hereby j

submits three copies of Amendment 33 to the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP)

Unit I and Unit 2 Physical Security and Contingency Plan (the Security Plan). By copy of

} this letter two copies of Amendment 33 are being provided to the NRC Region II office.

1 This Security Plan amendment c arifies the ccntrol of certain designated vehicles within

!- the protected area. This change is cupported by engineering analysis of the radiological sabotage capability of vehicles with certain design characteristics.

, Enclosure 1 provides the description and justification for the changes, Enclosure 2

{ contains the actual Amendment 33 pages, Enclosure 3 gives insertion instructions, and the j new effective page list is contained in Enclosure 4. Enclosures 1 and 2 are safeguards j information and should be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21.
