Dear Mr. Johnson:
On. January 13, 1986, we verbally notified your Mr. T. Westerman of a deft-ciency involving four piping systems which have been identified as including safety class pipe supports trounted to non-safety related embedded plates. This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). We have submitted an interim report logged TXX-4701, dated February 12, 1986. Constraints involving testing-inside the Unit 1 boundary for the remaining single support have delayed completion of our final report on this matter.
We are continaing our evaluation and anticipate completion of our final report by April 25, 1986.
