INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATIONS OPERATING EXPERIENCE REPORT FY2022 The Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installations (ISFSI) Operating Experience (OpE) Program is designed to support technical and licensing staff, inspectors, and management by providing insights that can inform future inspections and licensing reviews. The purpose of the annual report (see Enclosure 1) is to provide an analysis that identifies trends in operational data and to make recommendations to improve ISFSI programs.
The purpose of the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) OpE Program is to systematically review operating experience, assess its significance, provide timely and effective communication to stakeholders, and apply the lessons learned to regulatory decisions and programs.
The assessment, conclusions, and recommendations in Enclosure 1 were presented to Division of Fuel Management leadership on January 24th, 2023.
