Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSOU8752), recently j received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of depleted uranium in the form of UO2 powder to Japan for use in process qualification and testing at Nuclecr Fuel Industries (Tokai and Kumatori Works). Assurances from Japan are required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated. i
