dated May 4,1998, Issuance of Amendment for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Unit Nos. I and 2 (TAC Nos. M97363 and M97364)

AMENDMENT NOS. 227/201 (Improved Technical Specifications)

Implementation of Technical Specification Amendments No. 227 (DPR-53) and No. 201 (DPR-69) was completed at 12:00 p.m. on August 28,1998, as permitted by Reference (a). This converted the Calvert Cliffs Tecinical Spacifications to Improved Standard Technical Specifications consistent with the provisions af NUREG-1432, Revision 1, " Standard Technical Specifications, Combustion Engineering Plants," daud April 1995. As part of this implementation, certain actions were required to be taken to satisfy comtnitments described in new License Condition 2.C.6 and Appendix C to the license for each unit.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that these actions have been completed.
