REQUEST FOR A HEARING SUBMITTED WITH RESPECT TO NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE OF THE APPLICATION AND NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR HEARING REGARDING RENEWAL OF FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE FOR STP NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY, SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, UNITS 1 AND 2, DOCKET NOS. 50-498-LR AND 50-499-LR
The Office of the Secretary received via E-Filing a request for hearing and petition to intervene from Sustainable Energy and Economic Development Coalition (SEED) and Susan Dancer.
The request was submitted in response to a notice issued by the NRC staff that provided an opportunity for a hearing on the renewal of the operating license which authorizes STP Nuclear Operating Company, to operate the South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2, Docket Nos. 50-498 and 50-499 for an additional 20 years. The notice was published in the Federal Register at 76 Fed. Reg. 2426, January 13, 2011. The request and supporting documents are located in ADAMS as package number ML102930267 and the Electronic Hearing Docket.
This hearing request and supporting documents are being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R. §2.346(i). This referral is being served on the E-Filing service list for the South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2, Docket Nos. 50-498 and 50-499-LR as well as those
