Dear Mr. Johnson:
1 On December 5, 1985, we verbally notified your Mr. S. Phillips of a deficiency regarding the diesel generator intake silencer internals. An internal part in the intake silencer may not be welded and the potential exists that the part may dislodge and be ingested into the turbocharger.
i We are in the final stages of our evaluation and anticipate completion by January 31, 1986.
