My name is Kenneth W. Richardson, and my business address is P. O. Box 2951, Beament, 'Ibxas, 77704. I am currently er: ployed by Gulf States Utilities Chupany as the Manager of Design Engineering.

In this position, I am responsible for the engineering and design of Gulf States power generation facilities from siting studies through operating plant modifications.

I received an Associate in Science in Mechanical Ihgineering fran Virginia Polytechnic Institute, a B.S. Degree in Physics fran Errery and Henry College and cmpleted my Master's Degree course requirements in Nuclear Engineering frun The Pennsylvania State University in 1971.

From 1972 to 1975, I was employed by the General Atomic Ccnpany where I held various positions related to nuclear power plant design and project management. My last position with General Atomic was as the Project Licensing Engineer for Dehnarw. Fvwer & Light's Smmit Power Station responsible for assuring the safety adequacy of the power plant.

In December,1975 , I joined the Onaha Fublic Power District in Oraha, Nebraska, as Manager of Nuclear Engineering. In this position, I was responsible for the u*Hity's engineering involvenent with nuclear

power plant design, construction, and operation including the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station, in op s tion since 1973. Frczn July,1977, to Novater,1977, I was Section Manager of Generation Station Engineering, responsible for the engineering of all generating stations including nuclear, coal, and oil fired units.

In Noverber ,1977, I joined Gulf States as Manager of the River Bend Project. In this position, I had overall responsibility for the engineering, licensing, constW, and project nanagement of River Bend. I assumed mv present position in D m b r, 1978.

I am a national ne2er of the American Nuclear Society, on the ANS Feactor Operations Ccmnittee, and a ne&er of the Technical Advisory Ccmnittee to Gas-Cboled Reactor Associates.

My name is Charles A. Hackney and my business address is P. O. Box 2951, Beaumont, Texas, 77704. I am currently employed by Gulf Statec Utilities as Radiation Protection Supervisor. I am responsible for all aspects of health physics for Gulf States' River Bend nuclear generating station.

I received a B.S. Degree in Mathematics from Texas Wesleyan College in 1967. I have also completed several specialized courses in nuclear reactor operation and have had industrial observation of several rr. actors.

From 1956 to 1973 I was employed by General Dynamics Aerospace Division in Fort Worth, Texas, where I served in the health physics department until 1966. I then served as a U. S.

Air Force licensed reactor operator for the General Dynamics Nuclear Facility. I later assisted in the health physics aspects of decommissioning that facility. In 1973, I joined Gulf States Utilities as Nuclear Staff Assistant for the Blue Hills vroject and was promoted to my present position in 1979.

I am a member of the Edison Electric Institute Power Reactor Health Physics Task Force.

My name is P. G. Trudel and my business address is P. O. Box 2166, Houston, Texas, 77001. I am currently employed as a senior engineer in the Nuclear / Environmental engineering discipline for Bechtel Power Corporation. I have been assigned to the Blue Hills Station Project and have been responsible for coordination and administration of the environmental consultants' work, prepara' tion of the environmental report supplements and responses to NRC questions. I also coordinated the preparation of the PSAR for Blue Hills. In addition, I am presently Bechtel's lead engineer for the Blue Hills Early Site Review.

I hold a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering with distinction from Worcester Polytechnical Insti.tute in Worcester, Massachusetts and did graduate studies in Business Administration at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.

I worked for the United Illuminating Co. in their distribution department doing substation design before entering the U. S. Navy. From early 1969 to early 1973 I was a Commissioned Officer in the U. S. Navy stationed at Nuclear Power School Bainbridge, Maryland, as an instructor in the physics and

instrumentation divisions and as the assistant director of the Enlisted School.

I joined Bechtel in 1973 as a member of the Nuclear staff assigned to the systems group. I performed technical evaluations of radwaste equipment and systems and wrote sections of PSARs. I was assigned to the Blue Hill Station as the Assistant Nuclear Engineering Group Supervisor assisting in the coordination of nuclear safety analysis, radiologic systems design and environmental considerations. I had major responsibility for coordinating the preparation of the PSAR and its review. I am a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California, a member of the American Nuclear Society and its South Texas Local Section, and a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and its power group.

I am a graduate Civil Engineer with a B.S. Degree from Louisiana State University. I am also a graduate from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have taken specialized courses relating to the design, construction and operation of nuclear power plants and have observed various phases of construction, operation and maintenance of several operating nuclear power plants. I have also taken specialized courses in the management and operation of electric utilities.

I was employed by Gulf States Utilities in 1971 to start a Civil Engineering Section for design and construction of transmission and substation structures. In this position, I was responsible for the design of all transmission and substation

foundations and structures. In December, 1972, I was transferred to Power Plant Engineering and Design Department where I have worked in several capacities. I was assigned to the Blue Hills Nuclear Project where I was responsible for design coordination with the Architect-Engineer for all civil and structural aspects of the plant and the balance of plant mechanical aspects. I participated in the writing and review of the PSAR and ER for Blue Hills and concurrently served as civil engineering consultant to the River Bend Nuclear Project. I was assigned to the River Bend Project in 1975 as Lead Site Engineer. I was responsible for the coordination of all engineering modifications by the' Architect-Engineer and Constructor as well as any civil and structural aspects of the project. In June, 1977, I was named Assistant Project Engineer responsible for the Site Engineering group. I was named to my present position in April, 1978.

I am a Registered Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering in the State of Louisiana and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

In this position, I am responsible for the supervision of the Company's power plant engineering and design program, including nuclear power plants. I have had overall respons'ibility for the preparation of the Blue Hills Early Site Review and have supervised studies and evaluations which pertain to the licensing of the Blue Hills site. I have obtained a working knowledge of environmental problems associated with steam-electric power plants through my educational background, an- through practical field and supervisory experience.

I graduated from Williamson Trade School near Philadelphia, Pa., with a degree in Power Plant Operation and I subsequently took courses in the fields of engineering and mathematics at LSU and McNeese University. I also attended a course of study in utility management and economics at the University of Michigan and have participated in specialized courses relating to the design, construction and operation of nuclear plants.

I joined the Company as a Student Engineer at Baton Rouge's Louisiana Station in 1940, and progressed through a number of posts there and at Riverside Stat ~ ion, Nelson Station and Sabine Station. Power Plant posts that I have held include test engineer, assistant tc plant superintendent, test supervisor and maintenance supervisor. I also have served as construction engineer in the Company's construction program. In 1970 I was appointed superintendent - Plant Construction. Subsequently, I became Manager - Power Plant Construction - Production Department. I was promoted to my present position in September cf 1977.

I am a member of the Louisiana Engineering Society.

Box 2951, Beaumont, Texas, 77704. My present position at Gulf States Utilities is that of Supervisor - Environmental Licensing.

In this capacity I am responsible for obtaining all of the necessary permits for the Companys' fossil generating units. In addition, I act as the Company's liasion with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other regulatory agencies for the Blue Hills Early Site Review. I have coordinated the review and publication of various portions of the Blue Hills Early Site Review Application.

I hold a B.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A & M University. I have also completed specialized, courses relating to the design and operation of nuclear power plants.

I joined Gulf States in 1972 as an engineer in ta ;ystem Production Department. My primary responsibility in this position was to perform reliability tests on operating plants.

In 1973 I was transferred to the Nuclear Licensing Section and assigned to the Blue Hills Project. In 1977, I assumed

additional licensing duties relating to non-nuclear projects. In mid-1978 I was promoted to my present position.

I am a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and a member of the South Texas Section of the American Nuclear Society.
