Dear Mr. Craig:
On August 28, 2018, the Management Review Board (MRB), which consisted of U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) senior managers and an Organization of Agreement States Liaison to the MRB, met to consider the results of the April 25, 2018, periodic meeting held with the Mississippi Agreement State Program management and staff. Based on the actions that Mississippi management and staff have taken since the 2017 Integrated Materials Performance Evaluation Program (IMPEP) review, as summarized in the periodic meeting summary (NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System using the Accession No. ML18156A024) and discussed during the MRB meeting, the MRB agreed with the staffs recommendation that the Mississippi Agreement State Program be removed from Monitoring and that the next full IMPEP review be conducted as scheduled in April 2021.
I acknowledge the effort by you and your staff to improve the performance of your Agreement State Program and appreciate your continued support for that program. I look forward to our agencies continuing to work cooperatively in the future.
