RULEMAKING IMPLEMENTING THE ADMINISTRATIVE FALSE CLAIMS ACT OF 2023 The Commission has approved issuance of a final rule to implement the Administrative False Claims Act of 2023 (AFCA). The AFCA, formerly the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act, is a Federal statute that provides Federal agencies, when the U.S. Department of Justice approves, a remedy to recover government losses resulting from false claims and fraud. The Commission has also approved delegating signature authority for this rulemaking to the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards Office Director. | |||
