Hope Creek Generating Station - NRC Inspection Report 05000354/2025090 and Preliminary White Finding and Apparent Violation, August 7, 2025 (ADAMS Accession No. ML25219A003).
The referenced inspection report documented a preliminary White finding and apparent violation of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B, Criterion XVI, Corrective Action because Hope Creek Generating Station (HCGS) failed to identify and correct a condition adverse to quality affecting the D emergency diesel generator (EDG).
On August 14, 2025, Tammy Morin, Station Compliance Manager, verbally notified Nicole Warnek, NRC Region 1 Division of Operating Reactor Safety Project Branch 3, of our decision to not contest the violation or significance of the associated finding. The letter confirms that PSEG Nuclear LLC (PSEG) does not request a regulatory conference and will not submit a written response on this matter. PSEG understands that this renders the preliminary significance as final.
There are no regulatory commitments contained in this letter. Please contact Mr. Harry Balian at Harry.Balian@pseg.com if you have questions.
Sincerely, Charles V. McFeaters President and Chief Nuclear Officer SIGN Mcfeaters, Charles V.
