This is a preliminary notification of a possible material defect in a Swagelok pipe fitting tee, part number SS-6-T.We became aware of this on January 28,1999. The defect is a crack in the center of the forging. We are continuing our analysis of the p~rt and will provide further details in accordance with NRC timetables. A drawing of the part follows.
