Gentlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to request an extension of the date for submittal of the functional description and schedule for upgraded meteorological and atmospheric diffusion assessment facilities from July 1, 1981, as stated in the referenced document, to January 1, 1982.
We have not had sufficient time to evaluate the perfornance o our interim facilities and thus cannot provide a meaningful schedule or description of our final system at this time. At the May 5, 1981 meeting in Philadelphia and in subsequent telephone conversations, the NBC staff stated that they would entertain requests for an extension of the July 1, 1981 date upon request.
Unless we hear from you to the contrary, we will assume that our proposed January 1,1982 submittal date is acceptable and will work toward that objective.
