The plant had been scheduled for completion.in early 1984. | |||
"The exacting nature of the remaining work on the plant, coupled with extremely rigid quality requirements has increased our projection of the craft and technical support man-hours necessary to complete the project," Union Electric Board Chairman Charles J. Dougherty said. | |||
"The increased scope of the remaining work and the resulting delay in completion of the plant will increase its cost frem $2.1 billion to | |||

Direct costs of the plant will increase from $1.4 billion to $1.8 billion. | |||
