In our {{letter dated|date=June 4, 1981|text=June 4, 1981 letter}}, we transmitted information on the fuel assembly spacer grid damage observed during inspections of the fuel discharged from cycle one of ANO-2. In that letter we stated our intent to investigate the cause of the grid damage and to take corrective action prior to the next refueling. The SER accompanying Amendment 24 to the ANO-2 operating license further committed AP&L, under the Surveillance Reporting Requirements, to provide a final report describing the fuel inspection results, conclusions reached, and preventive measures to be employed in the future.
