Initial notification of the subject deficiency was made to NRC-0IE, Region II, Inspector R. W. Wright on May 8, 1980. The first, second, third, and fourth interim reports were submitted en June 4, August 20, 2 November 26, 1980, and March 2, 1981, respectively.       In compliance with paragraph 50.55se), of 10 CPR Part 50, this letter constitutes the_ fifth interim report on the subject deficiency.

TVA and GE/C. F. Braun have reviewed the proposed corrective actions from CII-Muclear on the charcoal adsorber deficiencies. GE/C.F. Braun has rejected the proposed actions. CTI-Nuclear is being notified of this rejection, and ue anticipate revised corrective actions from CTI-             .
