i VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT SPECIAL REPORT 2-96-3 NUMBER OF STEAM GENERATOR TUBES PLUGGED DURING 2R5 In accordance with the requirements of Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Technical Specifications (TS) sections 4.4.5.5.a and 6.8.2, Georgia Power Company submits this special report of the number of steam generator tubes plugged during the Unit 2 fifth refueling outage (2R5).
i VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT                                                   .
As a result of the inservice inspection completed on September 30,1996, a total of five (5) tubes were plugged in steam generator #4. Four (4) of these tubes met or exceeded the Technical Specification limit for wall thinning (40 percent). The remaining tube was plugged as a precautionary measure. In addition, one (1) tube was plugged in steam generator #1, also due to the tube exceeding the Technical Specification limit for wall thinning. Complete inspection results will be submitted within 12 months per the requirement of Technical Specification 4.4.5.5.b.
