As requested in your letter of September 9,1985, enclosed are copies of the followino docererts related to license renewal for the University of Missouri - Rolla reactor facility:

(1) license dated January 14, 1985, (2) Safety Evaluation Report, (3) Environmental Assessment, and (4) Extension of the License Expiration Date anendrent issued on April 16, 1985. Also enclosed are the Safety Evaluation Poport (SER) and the original operating license which expires in the year 2001, for the University of Missouri -

Columbia reactor. The Environmental Assessnent is included as part of the SER.

l The Comission has delegated to the staff certain responsibilities, including the issuance of operating licenses, renewals and other licensing actions, t

for research reactors.

The enclosed NUREG issued for the University of Missnuri -Rella reactor (NUREG-10P6) is e recent practice with NRC.

NUREG dcLuments were not issued at the tire the original Operating License for the University of Missouri -
