The first item is SECY 96-268.

This 14 paper presents an immediately effective final rule amending 15 10 CFR Part 71 to correct a recently discovered defect in 16 the rule for shipments of fissile material.

17 All of you have voted to approve the publication 18 of this final rule.

2 Nation for Commission review of the Atomic Safety and 3

Licensing Board's memorandum and order of November 5 4

approving a settlement agreement between the NRC staff and 5

General Atomics.

granting the petitions for review and setting a briefing 8

schedule.

Madam Chairman, could I 16 just say on the first item Babcock and Wilcox deserves some 17 real credit for bringing that issue to our attention and the 18 staff deserves a lot of credit for very promptly responding.
