- As requested in Material Llconsing Branch's June 12,1997, memorandum, wt have reviewed the Case Western Reserve University survey information submitted as part of their request to terminate NRC license SNM 159. Based on our review, we have determined that the licensee has provided suf ficient information such that we believe they have satisfactorily demonstrated that the building does not exceed regulatory contamination limits, and can be released for unrestricted use. We also do not believe a confirmatory survey of this building by the NRC is necessary. | |||

DECOMMISSIONING BRANCH REVIEW OF CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY'S CLOSE 0UT SURVEY INFORMATION
- As requested in Material Llconsing Branch's June 12,1997, memorandum, wt have reviewed the Case Western Reserve University survey information submitted as part of their request to terminate NRC license SNM 159. Based on our review, we have determined that the licensee has provided suf ficient information such that we believe they have satisfactorily demonstrated that the building does not exceed regulatory contamination limits, and can be released for unrestricted use. We also do not believe a confirmatory survey of this building by the NRC is necessary.
The licensee's survey procedures and survey information were discussed during telephone conversations between the licensee's and Region til staff on June 27 and July 11,1997.
