Dear Mr. Kingsley:

On July 27,1999, the NRC completed an inspection at your Dresden Unit 1 Station which

examined decommissioning activities. The enclosed report presents the results of that

inspection.

During the 4 week period covered by this inspection, activities in the areas of facility

management and control and radiological safety were examined. No safety or regulatory

issues were identified. Overall, the performance of the reactor decommissioning program was

adequate,
