Enclosed is an application (XR166) from General Atomics (GA), requesting a license authorizing the export of a 10 Megawatt thermal TRIGA Research Reactor to The Ongkharak Nuc! ear Research Center in Thailand. The research reactor will be used for the production of medicalisotopes.

Before taking action on this reque st, we would appreciate your views in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
