SECY-87-257 - Emergency Planning Rule i
The Commission, by a 5-0 vote, approved revisions to NRC's emergency planning rule, establishing procedures for evaluating the adequacy of emergency planning at the operating license review stage in situations in which state and. local government officials decline to participate in emergency planning.
The revisions provide for adopting the proposed rule as published for public comment on March, 1987, with modifications and clarifications consistent with Commission testimony, responses to Congress on the intended scope and effect of the rule, and
