[External_Sender] Please do not approve Holtec permit in New Mexico

Dear Nuclear Regulatory Commission Holtec comments,

For the future of all our children! Please don't allow this. Storage of nuclear waste has inherent unsolved problems, please spend time and money on solutions while holding a moratorium on new facilities.

I object to the approval of the Holtec Consolidated Interim Storage site near Carlsbad, NM. It would be safer to reduce transportation of highly radioactive used reactor fuel by leaving it at the site of generation until a permanent repository exists. ?

-- The proposed site is near a highway, presenting a terrorism risk.

--?The plan does not adequately address radiation risk to workers. ?

--?There should be real-time monitoring for leakage.

--?The lack of consideration of Hardened On-Site Storage at the reactor site as an alternative is a glaring problem. ?

--?The lack of an on-site plan to deal with leakage is extremely concerning.

Thank you for your consideration.
