Purpose:

To support additional public interaction on the rulemaking described in Regulatory Basis for Public Comment: Alignment of Licensing Processes and Lessons Learned from New Reactor Licensing (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML20149K680) (RB) and Alignment of Licensing Processes and Lessons Learned from New Reactor Licensing: Regulatory Basis; request for comment (86 FR 7513) (FRN). The staff will provide an update on the status of the rulemaking and address developments since the last public meeting. The staff welcomes a discussion on the publics views of the scope described in the RB and FRN. To help meet this purpose and maximize the utility of the public input received, the NRC encourages attendees to review these documents before the meeting.

This meeting will support a dialog on the rulemaking to align licensing processes and incorporate lessons learned from new reactor licensing as described in the RB and FRN.

The staff will provide an update on the status of the rulemaking and address developments since the last public meeting. As described in the FRN, the NRC also will accept written public comments on the RB through April 14, 2021.
