==Dear Mr. Denton:==

==SUBJECT:==
Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-416 and 50-417 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-860.0 Shift Advisor Program, Review by UAET AECM-84/0267 Based on your request in conversations of April 17, 1984, with Mr.
J. B. Richard, Senior Vice President - Nuclear, the Shift Advisor Program at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS) has been evaluated. The evaluation was conducted by a special utility team assembled for this purpose. The six member team (Utility Advisor Evaluation Team) completed its review on April 26, 1984. The team's report is attached for your review and use.
Overall, the team concluded that the GGNS Shift Advisor Program established by Mississippi Power & Light Company (MP&L) meets and, in many cases, exceeds the associated position presented to the NRC by the Near Term Operating Licensing Utility Group on February 24, 1984.
Recommendations made by the team will be implemented by MP&L to further strengthen the program.
Please advise if you require additional information in this matter.
