==Dear Dr. Grace:==

During pcver operation of Unit 1, concurrent with an ongoing Unit 2 maintenance / refueling outage, a Unit 2 designated fire barrier LCO was initiated on January 6, 1986, for a fire door in the units' cemmon emergency ac Diesel Generator (D/G) Building.
The subject fire door, No. 112, is located at fire barrier penetration seal No. DG-2-031 on the 23-foot elevation of the building. Door No. 112 is the northwest access to the respective room of D/G No. 4. The LCO was initiated to repair a hole in the door structure.        On January 13, 1986, the specified seven-day time frame of the LCO was exceeded.            Required repairs to the door were made, and on January 14, 1986, at 1900, the door was returned to service.
During the time period the subject LCO was in effect, appropriately stationed fire watches were maintained.
