REQUALIFICATION PROGRAM FOR THE GENERAL ELECTRIC NUCLEAR TEST REACTOR l We have reviewed the revised requalification program for the General Electric Nuclear Test Reactor submitted by letter dated July 16, 1987 (G. E. Cunningham l to R. J. Pate, Region IV), and in a letter of clarification dated December 8, i

1987. The review was made relative to criteria in 10 CFR 55.59 and in ANSI /

ANS 15.4 "Selection and Training of Personnel for Research Reactors". Use of the latter document is supported by Generic Letter 83-12A to All Non-Power Reactor Licensees from D. Eisenhut on July 11, 1983.

Based on our review, the appropriate information regarding examinations, the accelerated requalification program, the lecture program, on-the-job training, record retention and recertification has been provided. This infortnation confirms that the program meets the criteria of both review documents and is, l therefore, acceptable.
