DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Supplemental Information Related to License Amendment Request dated June 14, 1982 In response to NRC staff concerns on this license amendment, the following information is submitted for your review. | | {{#Wiki_filter:}} |
| The document submitted on July 7, 1982 (XN-NF-81-06 Supplement 1) titled "LOCA ECCS Limiting Break and Exposure Sensitivity Analysis for ENC XN-1 and XN-2 Reloads at Prairie Island Unit 1 with Five Peretnt Steam Generator Tubes Plugged using ENC's WREM II A PWR Model" is applicable to both Prairie Island Units 1 and 2. Thus the limits on the total peaking factor (Figure 1) apply to both units.

| On June 14, 1982 Figure TS.3.10-7 was submitted. This figure is a graph of the normalized exposure dependent function (BU(E )) versus burnup for Exxon fuel. The graph was defined by the followingcodrdinates(burnup,EU(E)):
| |
| l (0,1.00), (36. 7,1,00), and (50,0.87). It was recently learned that 50 d'4D/MTU
| |
| ! might not be sufficient for the XN-2 fuel type. Therefore, we request that the coordinates be changed to: (0,l.00) ,(36. 7,1.00) and (51,0.86 ). Analysis j has been performed to show that this curve will bound the current cycle fuel types for the exposures planned.
