In letters dated December 15, 1977 and January 3,1978, power reactor licensees i were requested to complete a questionnaire on standby diesel generators. The l attached questionnaire for the Pilgrim Nuclear Powe,I Station diesels has been ,

ec=pleted and is hereby submitted.

! however, due to some c: mission we were not aware of the request for such in-l for=ation until receipt of your January 3, 1978 letter. At that time appropriate

! steps were taken to obtain a copy of the questionnaire and begin ec= piling the responses.
