Dear Mr Grier:

1 We have been unable to complete the action required by Item 4 in the l time frame allotted. This is due to having to perform a multi-node analysis i for the HELB areas outside of containment. This reanalysis will enable us l to better determine the extent of the areas affected by the HELB which we expect would reduce the total numbers of equipment that see the harsh environment. This reanalysis and subsequent review will be completed by December 15, 1980. We are requesting an extention of the required completion date until that time.

Item 5, the maximum expected flood level in containment has been determined to be at elevation 698' 9". This level was used in the first submittal, to identify any equipment in containment which will be submerged.
